e andrew bartel is a photographer, writer, and creative director living in new york city. he was born in hawai'i and—as the son of a naval nuclear engineer—lived in guam, south carolina, florida, california, and new york. in advertising andrew has worked on iconic, global brands for over twenty years. currently he's a chief creative officer, running the creative, digital, and operations departments of four advertising agencies—three in nyc and one in new jersey. his art—reproduced in publications worldwide—captures intimate details he discovers in people and landscapes conveyed through language and images. these cultural tableaus are part of public and private collections.
